Located in San Jose California, Power Integrations leads the industry in high-voltage analog integrated circuits providing the most cost-effective AC to DC and high-voltage DC to DC power conversion solutions.

Challenge:
Power Integrations was in the process of building a new facility in San Jose California. SolutionsOne was brought in to design a new high-cube warehouse and distribution solution. The challenge was to develop a solution that would allow Power Integrations to centralize a number of warehouse operations into one facility using less overall space while at the same time providing adequate room for growth.

Solution:
A 2-story high-cube storage and handling structure was developed. The new structure utilizes bin shelving and rack supported walk-ways (cat-walk). The new structure provides 100%25 utilization of overall cubic space while at the same time making product highly accessible to warehouse operators.

The solution also included the design of receiving, packing, and shipping areas. The overall layout provides optimal use of space while at the same time providing an extremely productive environment.
